Portrait of Arthur L. Bernstein

Born in West Palm Beach and trained in motion picture and theatre production at the University of Miami, Arthur L. Bernstein has spent more than two decades on both sides of the camera - as producer, writer, director, and actor.

His work runs from early shorts and two seasons of the filmmaker showcase The Screening Room to features that reached theaters and festivals: Walt Before Mickey, the biopic of Walt Disney's unproven early years, which he wrote and executive-produced; the political satire Swing State, which opened the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles; and The Brawler, the story of the fight that inspired Rocky.

The Screening Room

Executive-produces two seasons of the Channel 17 series championing new filmmakers.

2015
Walt Before Mickey

Writes and executive-produces the theatrical Disney biopic, and appears on screen as Frank L. Newman.

2016
Swing State

Produces the satire that opens the 8th Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles.

2019
The Brawler

Produces the Chuck Wepner story, featuring Zach McGowan, Amy Smart, and Joe Pantoliano.
